Today we say goodbye to Ntombi Rikhotso and Martin Sambo who have spent the last two months doing commercial law placements in Dublin as part of the IRLI Commerical Law Training Programme.
They have worked alongside two of the largest commercial law firms in Ireland, William Fry and Eversheds, gaining insight into the mechanics of corporate transactions, while also attending business law lectures with The Law Society of Ireland. They even got a mention in the Irish Times!
Ntombi works for her husband’s firm Bibi Rikhotso Attorneys in Johannesburg, while Martin has his own practice in Pretoria primarily focusing on labour law. Both see diversification into commerical law as a means of advancing the development and reach of small black law firms in South Africa.
It has been an absolute pleasure hosting Ntombi and Martin during their stay and IRLI wish them luck in completing the Programme, and their future careers.
A big thanks to William Fry and Eversheds, and of course Irish Aid.
